Overview

Temporary Speed Signs are an extremely useful tool to improve road safety on road construction worksites. They help positive traffic management by making drivers aware of their speed and warning drivers when they exceed the worksite speed limit.

In addition to live speed display, the signs provide data to help analyse and improve traffic flow through the site.

Construction and data

The speed sign is housed in a rugged powder-coated aluminium case with a 40 mm wide Class 1 reflective red or white surround for enhanced visibility.

Equipped with data loggers, the signs can record vehicle counts and speeds. Data can be accessed by Wi-Fi or USB stick, downloaded in CSV format, analysed in Excel or uploaded to an online tool. The sign is portable, easy to install and has a solar panel that can be positioned for sunlight.
