Peter Berghaus lights have stood test of time and are very well known for their reliability. – as mentioned by Paul Tyson, Manager Traffic Management at Fulton Hogan in one of his emails to us:
“It is an old set (very old at approx. 20 years as I have the original manufacturers cert dated 17/03/98) but they still work as good as the day it was made.”
To further deliver on our commitment, we have introduced add -ons such as Countdown timers, SMS and GPS, which keeps you informed on the status of the installations or makes it easier for our onsite crew and the road users.
Countdown timers
Take away the anxiety for the road users.
It can make road users very anxious to wait at a portable traffic light wondering when it will go green for them, especially when its a long closure and the other side of the work site is not visible.
Our countdown timers take away the anxiety for the road users. We have used them on various sites and the feedback we have received from our customers is very encouraging:

We offer three different remote control options to suit your requirements, a hard wired remote with a 15 meter cable and two wireless options with a range of 50 and 800 meters.
GPS Tracking
Track movements of the traffic lights
Our GPS tracking service is not just a location indicator. It also provides us with alerts for movement, impact or accident.
If the lights are hired from us, we can give you access to the portal so if there was a movement of the units, an alert will be sent to you.

SMS Retrofit Kits
Keep in touch with Peter Beghaus traffic lights
SMS has always been a feature that was available on Peter Berghaus traffic lights. However, the wiring had to factory fitted in Germany – now this can be done in New Zealand.
Our SMS modules can be programmed with up to 4 mobile numbers and four different critical statuses. The faults can be either reported to all four mobile numbers or each fault reporting can be assigned to a particular mobile number, for example, the mobile number for the operations person can be alerted on the battery status while the Red LED Defect status reporting can be reported to the traffic manager.
Making it Easier for your crew on site
Use smaller batteries with the electronic battery changeover device.
The electronic battery change over devices enable you to connect up to 4 batteries. The change over device, regulates and equalises the amount of current it draws from the batteries. This allows you to use either smaller 12V batteries or 6V batteries in series. Also this device enables you to change batteries without losing power to the lights.
We can also offer solar as an option.
